What's New for 2021?
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is newly designed to have an SUV-like look. The rear liftgate, grille, exterior lighting, and wheels have been redesigned. Chrysler has also added an option for a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which is available on most trims.
All-wheel-drive has also been added as an option. When it comes to available trims and configurations, the Touring L Plus model has been discontinued. The new trim model called the Pinnacle is now the top-spec model replacing the Limited Trim on that spot.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The 2021 Pacifica is available with two powertrains for Bay City area drivers to choose from. The base is a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 paired with a smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission to deliver 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain delivers a 0-60 acceleration time of 7.3 seconds. The EPA gives the Pacifica a fuel economy of 19/28 mpg city/highway.
The plug-in hybrid powertrain consists of the 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with two electric motors and a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery. With one motor on each axle, the hybrid powertrain comes standard with all-wheel drive. This powertrain delivers 260 horsepower and has a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 7.8 seconds. The Pacifica Hybrid achieves an all-electric driving range of 33 miles before the gasoline engine automatically kicks in. This powertrain offers an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 84 MPGe combined.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo Space
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica comes with a spacious and airy interior with numerous cup holders, slide-out bins, and cubbies. With the exception of a few plastic-made interior parts, other features look beautiful and luxurious. The Pacifica comes with standard seating for seven. The cargo space is 32.3 cubic feet behind the third row, 87.5 cubic feet when the third row is folded flat, and 140.5 cubic feet behind the second row. The legroom comes at 41.1 inches for the front row, 39 inches for the second row, and 36.5 inches for the third row.
